About Maureen Watchorn

Maureen studied graphic design in Watford, England. She obtained an honors degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto. Upon moving to Winnipeg, Maureen studied at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. At this time Maureen met Aliana Au and in 1983 she was invited to share studio space with her. They have jointly shared three studio exhibitions as well as as an exhibition at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall. In 2006 Maureen held her first solo show at The Pavilion Assiniboine Park Winnipeg

In 2017 she exhibited a landscape show at The Winnipeg Art Gallery followed by the exhibition at the Buhler Gallery, St. Boniface Hospital.A commemorative book was created to honour the tenth anniversary of the Buhler Gallery.
